New Ottawa homes bring solid design to families on a budget
Let’s bust the myth.
It’s easy to get wrapped up in the Instagram expectation of what your home “should” look like. But do you really want to live in a reel?
With our new Leap series, we want to offer you a well-designed new home in Ottawa – on a starter budget. A place you can be proud to make your own while you build a foundation for your future dream home.
We think a “stepping stone” home deserves R-E-S-P-E-C-T!
What does a stepping stone home mean to us?
It’s the place you get when you first move-in together, or maybe the place where you welcome your first addition to the family. It’s where you save for the kids’ education, celebrate that first big promotion, or where you start that amazing business.
There’s something to be said about the memories we make in that “perfect for right now” home, which is why we put the same amount of love and attention into designing this series of new homes as we do for our larger luxury homes.
Our Leap series homes start at 1499 square feet, which means you get all of the quality concentrated in a smaller footprint. Less furniture to buy, less cleaning, and less energy consumption. In many ways, smaller means smarter!
You won’t find marble walls and indoor waterfalls in this series. But if you can live without the rotating platform for your Porsche, you might find that these homes have all of the functionality you need! With the Leap series, you get a new home in Ottawa and the quality design and craftsmanship of a Phoenix Home. Solid and reliable.
Are you ready to talk floorplans? We know you are!

At 1,499 sq. ft.,the Sable detached bungalow packs a punch. As far as new homes in Ottawa go, this home boasts an extremely functional floorplan for its size and price point.
Enjoy a foyer walk-in closet for all your gear, walk by the kitchen island (smell what’s cooking!) and into the privacy of a family room facing the backyard.
There are two full bathrooms on this level and two generously sized bedrooms. The finished basement offers even more living space with a rec room and a third bedroom which could serve as an office (with a door!).
A very large unfinished area in the basement offers lots of possibilities for storage and rough-ins for a third bathroom.

At 1,688 square feet, the Holly is the larger detached bungalow in the Leap Series. The two bedrooms on the main floor open into the same mini-corridor for a cozy feel. There is a full bath on this level as well a guest powder room right off the foyer.
You’ll notice a generous living area with a flowing design from the kitchen into the dining area and the family room. The finished basement stairs are tucked away with a half wall to enhance the open feeling of the main floor with natural light pouring in through the back windows. Add the optional gas fireplace to this space for a cozy focal point.
Like in the Sable, the finished basement includes a generous rec room with a separate bedroom/office. There is a walled-off mechanical room and an unfinished space for the laundry and an optional second full bathroom.

We designed the Jasper model for the comings and goings of a busy family.
Bring groceries directly from the garage into the kitchen through a convenient mudroom. Take dishes from the dining table right to the sink and dishwasher. And have the kids share a convenient Jack and Jill style bathroom between their rooms.
There are already four bedrooms in this home, but should a fifth be needed, the den is an easy conversion.

At just under 2000 square feet, the Clover is our second largest two-storey home of the Leap series. The separate living and family rooms add an old-world charm to this home while the kitchen opens up to the sunlit dining room, bathed in natural light from the patio doors.
The upstairs features three generously sized bedrooms and two full bathrooms.

As the largest of our Leap series, the Iris only adds around 100 square feet when compared to the Clover, but boasts a number of key differences that a larger family will love.
For one thing, this detached two-storey home adds a whole other bedroom to the second floor and features walk-in closets in two of the bedrooms. (We take no responsibility for any sibling feuds resulting from this).
Rather than splitting the main floor into several spaces, the Iris features a larger open-concept dining and living area that busy families will love. The large kitchen island offers for even more space to connect.
And finally, the piece de resistance. Did we mention this house also comes with an option to upgrade to a 2-car garage?
If you’re looking for a new home in Ottawa with an attainable budget, we hope you will be as excited about the Leap series as we are!
