How to Remove your Window for Cleaning

In this video will show you how to access the outside of your single-hung windows in order to clean the exterior of the windows in your home.

Start by unlocking the window.

Now, raise the window approximately six inches.

Push the clips at the top of the window in towards the center. While holding these clips in, pull the window towards you. Do not let the window drop.

You can now clean the outer surface of this pane of glass as well as access the outer edge of the top pane.

Once you’re done cleaning, you can reinstall in reverse order.

When you press the window back in place, the clips will automatically pop in, as they’re spring loaded.

Now, close your window and lock the window again.
