How-to: Understanding your Dishwasher Rough-in

All Phoenix homes come with a dishwasher rough-in under the kitchen sink. Here, you’ll see the spigot used to secure the water line to the dishwasher, and next to it is the fitting to secure the drain line for the dishwasher.

When installing a dishwasher, depending on whether it’s located on the left or right side of the kitchen sink, it’s best to make your hole in the back corner of the cabinet box. This will allow you to feed both the water line and the drain line for the dishwasher.

The electrical connection for your dishwasher installation will be located in the designated area of the cabinetry specifically for the dishwasher.
