How-to: Balancing Ductwork

The temperature in a specific room can be adjusted by balancing the airflow using a damper control inside the floor register.

To do this, first remove the floor register cover. Inside, you will see a damper flap. This flap can be adjusted to either decrease or increase the amount of airflow into the room.

Please be cautious when adjusting the flap, as there may be sharp screws from the ductwork itself.
