Sherwin Williams presents a minimalist palette full of light-as-air neutrals that will soothe and remove distractions.

Want to up the sophistication in a subtle way? Combine several of these hues in one space, creating a colour voyage that gently transports you to a place of serenity. Add to the elevated style by pairing these with nature-inspired textures and aged gold accents.

If you’re looking for more energy, try a slightly bolder variation that is absolutely on trend this year.

The Dulux colour of the year 2024 is Limitless, an invigorating and sophisticated neutral that brings out the best of both warm and cool hues in interesting combinations. A little bit Provençal, this colour will shine bright in the daytime and turn to a subdued gold in the evening. Check it out below in a dining room with black accents for depth.

Escape with a world travel inspired palette
Looking for the perfect way to remind yourself of your travels and showcase your international décor finds? This may be the paint trend for you!

One of Benjamin Moore’s paint colours for 2024 is Topaz, a warm cinnamon colour inspired by dessert sunsets, exotic spices, and sun-baked terracotta. Looking to pair this colour with more colour? Think of what else you would find around it in your perfect landscape, such as sand and stone neutrals, airy blues and deep emerald greens.

Taking a more calming approach to the traveller’s palette, Dulux features warmed earthen and cooling twilight shades with these trending paints for 2024.

Try combining multiple colours from this tempered but complex colourscape that looks like it’s been worn away by centuries of wind and sun. Check out Cajun Spice shining below.

HGTV Canada focuses on the wellness aspect of the sunbaked palette, introducing a little bit of pink to the mix and going tone-on-tone with accessories and furnishings. Sherwin-Williams’ Redend Point (SW 9081) is the foundation of this cocooning bedroom look.

Defy expectations with rich hues
In the mood for romance? Sherwin Williams strikes up a passionate atmosphere with their sophisticated palette of reds and purples, sure to leave a memorable impression.

The same company also created a palette of rich greens and blues that exudes luxury while also making you feel like you are forest bathing. This is Billiard Green.

Add colour to a monochrome world with Dulux’s bold palette of hues that feel both Baroque and timeless. Go big glamour by combining these trending paint colours with highly textured and glossy décor. Gold, brass, and marble will look right at home with these colours.

HGTV Canada predicts we’ll be seeing more strong yellows as well, with rich honey tones pairing well with walnut woods and rich browns, such as Dunn-Edwards Paints Honey Glow DE5354.

Picking your own colour palette
Once you’ve looked at the trends, remember, they are just that – trends! Use them as inspiration, but remember to focus on what you love in your new home. Don’t hesitate to experiment and make it your own – remember, if you get tired of the colour, you can always repaint!
